Staying safe on Mingle
Meeting strangers should be fun and low-risk. Here is how Mingle keeps the platform safe — and how you can protect yourself.
Mingle is for adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to use Mingle. Before your first session you confirm your age and agree to our Terms & Community Guidelines. If we believe a user is under 18, their access is removed.
Protect your personal information
The golden rule of random video chat: keep private things private. Never share:
- Your full name, home address, or workplace
- Your phone number or email
- Financial details, passwords, or payment information
- Anything that could identify where you live or work
A stranger should never need this information for a friendly conversation. If someone pressures you for it, skip and report.
Use the report button
Every session includes a one-tap report button. If someone behaves inappropriately, is abusive, or shares prohibited content, report them — our safety team reviews reports and takes action, including permanent bans. Reporting helps keep Mingle safe for everyone.
What is not allowed
Nudity and sexual content, harassment, hate speech, threats, illegal content, recording someone without consent, and sharing others' personal information are all strictly prohibited. See the full community guidelines for details.
Trust your instincts
- If a conversation feels off, skip — there is always another person a tap away.
- Do not feel pressured to do anything you are uncomfortable with.
- Be kind. Treat the person on the other side the way you would want to be treated.
Your privacy
