Privacy
Your privacy on Mingle
Mingle is built to require as little of your data as possible. Here is what we do and do not collect.
No account, minimal data
Mingle does not require you to create an account. You choose a display name to start a session — we do not ask for your email address, phone number, or real identity.
Your video and audio are not stored
Video and audio in your sessions travel directly between you and your chat partner over a peer-to-peer WebRTC connection. Mingle does not record or store the contents of your conversations.
Reports and moderation
To keep the platform safe, a screenshot may be captured and retained when a report is submitted, so our safety team can review what happened and act on it. This is the only situation in which session imagery is kept.
What we may collect
- Basic, anonymous usage analytics (for example, how many sessions occur) to operate and improve the service.
- Limited technical data needed to broker connections, such as temporary connection identifiers.
- Report data, including screenshots, when you or another user files a report.
Your responsibilities
Because conversations are with strangers, never share personal information such as your full name, address, phone number, or financial details. See our safety tips for more guidance.
Changes
We may update this page as Mingle evolves. Continued use after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. For the full terms, see our Terms & Community Guidelines.
